The Russo brothers talk about the cuts made on Avengers: Infinity War

Although they asked via the voice of Thanos that no surprise leaked during their press tour on Avengers: Infinity War, the Russo brothers can not dodge all questions from journalists, and began to reveal some details about the content of their next movie.

Let it be said, if you read further, you can not blame us for dealing with some spoilers (minor, we reassure you).

In an interview with Total Film, the Russo brothers reveal that they planned to put a whole backstory on the story of Thanos (played by Josh Brolin), but they later felt that the latter was not necessary. With a time imperative on the film already the longest of the MCU, all this backstory will not be present in the final editing, of which there should remain only a few flashbacks caught in the second trailer.

The statements do not contradict previous ones, which claim that Infinity War will focus mainly on the Crazy Titan (and Thor); it's on his quest for the Infinity Gems and his present journey that we should have the most to see so we can hope to have this backstory in the bonuses of the Blu-Ray - ideally.

In the same interview, the Russo are also reassuring about Hawkeye's absence from the movie's promo, assuring that when "people see the movie, everything will be applied". An open secret so, and we'll pretend to be surprised when Jeremy Renner appears on the screen - with his new haircut.

Avengers: Infinity War will be in our rooms on April 25th.
